Post by Patt_747 »

Hi

I don't understand why the software Track IR PRO3 don't find the keys of my joystick Side winder FFB2 ?

I want to assign the central position F12 actually, i prefer to get central position with key on my joystick, but the software dont detect the keys of my joystick ??

Do you have solution about this ?

The TrackIR does not have DirectX support. Therefore, you cannot assign buttons on your hotas as hot keys for TrackIR.

The only way to do this is to assign F12, or any other key, to the button on your joystick using the software that came with the stick. Then assign the hotkey for TrackIR to the same keyboard command.

NP has said in the past that they have no intention of outfitting the TrackIR with DX support.

Patt_747,

As Charlie said you can use the software that came with your joystick.

I too have a Microsoft sidewinder Joystick and I have F12 programed to the stick, but you have to assign the key using the Sidewinder utility.

You need version 4.0 and above of the sidewinder utility to program the keystoke in Windows XP.

I did exactly that ^^^^^^

I used my sticks (X45) profiling software to assign a button to be recognized as f12. It really is that easy. Now, as I'm flying and need to re-center, I simply press a button on my stick rather than leaning forward, looking for the F12 key and pressing it.
