No answers in Vector forum, thought i should try here
TrackIR Serial Number = 23898
Had trackiIR 3 working fine. Got version 4 working fine - all time, every time.
Get 6DO vector expansion. Now when i run it TrackAIR works until.... i quit or try to change settings then NO tracking, no images, no green light [after momentarily turning on after start-up]. after i try it again no joy. restart doesn't help, reinstall doesn't help. must either remove, uninstall trackir from device manager and regedit or shut the computer totally off and backon

Everything worked okay with version 3 software... Right?
You have installed version 4 with Vector and this is when the problems have started?
Firstly do you still have version 3 installed? This might sound odd, but if you remove the license files do you still have any problems?

i still had the problem even when v3 was removed...
to make it work i must shut down the computer.... restarting does not help, but a shutdown does -
i'm an EE and have been thinking, is there any change in the routines in vector that could cause more power draw? i have a 600W PSU but there is a finite limit to usb power
