David, did you use the software on the CD or did you download the latest driver from Natural point?
If not I would recomend downloading it and uninstall the old one with add/remove programs and deleting the folder after unplugging the TIR.

Thanks for the suggestion, Barred. Still no blue LED, though.
testing for enhanced mode (no blue LED)
My TIR3 just arrived yesterday. Only had about ten minutes to actually try it out in FS2004, but it seems to be working. No blue LED, though. I see from here http://forums.naturalpoint.com/cgi-bin/ ... 4;t=000187 that others have had this problem as well.
Is there some way (other than the blue LED) that I can test to see whether enhanced mode is working in FS2004?

Re: testing for enhanced mode (no blue LED)
David,
What language version of FS2004 do you have installed.
Have you installed anything into your FS2004 to remove the red wording that comes up for brakes, virtual cockpit etc?

Re: testing for enhanced mode (no blue LED)
Language: US English
Text for brakes, virtual cockpit, pause, etc. is not disabled.
Thanks for working with me on this.

Oh, here's one more data point: head tracking does work in IL2 FB AEP. But no blue LED there, either.
