I recently reformatted my PC and installed the latest TIR software. Maybe I shouldn't have perhaps.
Been a long time user of TIR3PRO. I haven't upgraded to the Vector Expansion yet however.
Using a previous version of the software (and other previous versions), I seldom had to re-center my view within IL-2.
However, last night I notice when looking around I had to constantly re-center the device to keep it dead center.
Should I be using the latest software in my case or revert back to the previous version? What setting might address this issue in my particular situation?
Like I said long time user. I have a good dead zone. Seldom did I have to re-center even for 1-2+ hour flying sessions. Now it goes off center (but not significantly).
Regards,
TS!

TrackIR3Pro + Latest Software
Re: TrackIR3Pro + Latest Software
Are all the lights and LEDs functioning correctly on the unit? And it is fine to use that software version on the TrackIR 3 Pro.
Does the same thing happen with other games?

Re: TrackIR3Pro + Latest Software
Hello Rick!
Yes, everything is exactly the same as before (been using the product for over a year). The only change is upgrading to the newer software, but with the same profile.
Like I said, it is working fine exact that I find the need to re-center much more than usual.
I will continue tweaking with it. Is there any settings (new or old) that you can think of that would address this issue. Maybe I need a larger deadzone with the new software? Just not sure where to begin.
Best regards,
Mark

Still not staying centered Rick. Tried a number of things tonight. All the lights are working on the unit. Is there anything in this profile that could be causing the problem?
I did notice that it occasionally drifts even when my head was stationary. However, this was when I had the smoothing at 100% (I have it back at 25% I didn't notice this problem).

Re: TrackIR3Pro + Latest Software
hmm... does sound interesting.
Well does the same thing happen with the default profile? You could always reset the profile to the defaults too by going to the general tab when you edit the combat flight profile.
And you have not seen this issue in any other games or is this the only one you play?

Re: TrackIR3Pro + Latest Software
Again thanks for your reply Rick. IL-2 is the only TIR enabled game I play. And this problem is new since the reformat/installation of the newest software.
I hope tonight to create a new profile from scratch as you mentioned. Hoping this will resolve the problem. I trust folks without Vector Expansion can still use the latest software, right Rick?
Regards,
TS!

Re: TrackIR3Pro + Latest Software
Well, after rebuilding a new profile, unplugging/plugging device, and messing around with several options it has gotten a bit better. While it still doesn't stay perfectly centered when I return my head back after panning it is fairly close now.
With the use of the spacebar to re-center it is workable. I am left wondering if maybe this is a higher degree of sensitivity since the last software version?
Anyway thanks for your interest in this matter Rick!

TS!
