I was having trouble with Vector in PF last night too. I couldn't rotate my head as much as I could without the vector. Not sure what the problem is yet though.
The new software release on Fri. - without the vector - was PERFECT!!!! There was this great thing too where, if you hit Center when you were already close to the center position, it would slowly drift into place. Now it snaps no matter what. NO big deal, but I liked the Fri. release of that better.

Re: Head turning problem
I've noticed the 'drift' to centre when hitting re-centre too. It annoyed me though. I realised its caused by having 'smoothing' set too high - i backed it off to 25 and problem solved. So if you like the feature then setting your smoothing to max should get it back for you. I believe Chris has posted this elsewhere also.

Re: Head turning problem
"Now leaning shouldn't matter in PF, but I have to turn my head much more. The first couple of minutes of dog fighting using Vector I felt like watching tennis "
good point, this is my same issue.
It took some relief off my neck to slightly lean, now I can't slightly lean.
Basically I wonder if using normal dot mode is best for games like FB, and using vector is best for games that support it.

Re: Head turning problem
Charlie, I tried a different hat:
I get everything setup fine in the software, but in the game I "lose tracking", basically at first I can check back six both ways, then after flying, I can no longer check back six on the left side, it get's stuck.
This only happens in vector mode.

Re: Head turning problem
That drift to center function (when you're real close to the center) is still in there - only it works only when you have it set to "Dot" not "Vector."
I was having great difficulties with Vector in PF last night, switched back to Dot, took off the clip, and everything worked great again.

Re: Head turning problem
I did the same. Since PF doesn't have 6DOF support , I changed my PF profile to use dot tracking and now it is working very well.
Re: Head turning problem
FYI: My head turning problems were solved by moving the unit back:
