Vector Expansion and CFS2

Post by Talos2005 »

Hello! I just received TrackIR3 Pro and Vector Expansion and installed them successfully.
Sorry for novice's question.
Does this combination(TrackIR3 Pro and Vector Expansion) work on CFS2 environment?
If not, is there any software to enable them to work on CFS2?
Please help me to get an optimal solution.

Kind Regards,

the game is supported, i think it comes with the latest drivers for the vector expansion, you have to install it as you install the expainsion i believe. So have the game installed before hand so it can find it.

Talos2005,

CFS3 is fully supported in 6DOF, but not CFS2.
I did not think there was a high demand for CFS2 after the release of CFS3.

You should have no problems getting CFS2 to work with either the TrackMapper of the PPJoy option. Both these utilities are linked to from our games page.

A may have a copy of CFS2 still lying around somewhere, so that I can take a look at it.

Hi;

CFS2 and CFS3 are two entirely different Flight Sims…

CFS2 is Pacific Theatre.
CFS3 is European Theatre.

Both are still viable as they cover different parts of the world during WWII.

CFS1 has kind of been replaced by CFS3 as they both cover the European Theatre except CFS1 is earlier in the war while CFS3 is the later years of the war.

I still fly CFS2 as it covers the part of the war that CFS3 does not.

Trackmapper is the only application I know of. It's a bit cumbersome and, most certainly doesn't offer the smooth transitions, it does work. Personally, I don't care for the transition, but man I DO like the game. (I've re-created alot of aircraft and sounds for the game and I hate to see them go to waste.)
