Is anyone home?
Is anyone home?
Don't get me wrong, but I've seen very few answers to recent posts, and I can't seem to access either the Home page link or the support page?
You still there TiR?
Thanks.

Re: Is anyone home?
Is anybody else having trouble accessing any of the NaturalPoint webservers? Can you get to some of them, or just the forums?
For instance, can you access
www.naturalpoint.com
versus
naturalpoint.com

Re: Is anyone home?
Birtch: I have the forums linked directly and I have not notice any downtime for them at all in the last few days.
Jaeger: Sorry, although I have been reading the threads, I have not had the time in the last few days to post anything. Some questions I think are better left for the Pro's at NP to answer so I skip those.

Re: Is anyone home?
Thanks Charlie. I just wanted to find out what's going on with the drivers. For instance, if they're ok or if there's a problem and if so, are they being worked on.
I haven't seen to many responces here and no matter which link I use, I can't get through to the Home or Support pages.
I was thinking of trying the newest driver version, which I gather are the 3.02's, but I can't get through.

Re: Is anyone home?
Hi, I haven't been able to access any of the NaturalPoint sites (naturalpoint.com, eyecontrol.com, trackir.com) or forums from my PC at home since about Nov 8th. Only get "page not found" or "can't load page" errors.
At work I can access all the sites fine. A friend of mine can get to them all from his PC.
Only way I can get to them from home is thru an anonymous web-based proxy. If I just type in the url or click a bookmark, it won't go.
Strange!

Re: Is anyone home?
HarryLee, Jaeger - could both of you do two traceroutes to the following addresses ? (you will need to open a dos console window to execute the command)
www.naturalpoint.com
naturalpoint.com
(obscure the first two "hops" of your traceroute if you are concerned about revealing your ip address)
www.naturalpoint.com
naturalpoint.com
(obscure the first two "hops" of your traceroute if you are concerned about revealing your ip address)
- Here are example results :
C:\>tracert www.naturalpoint.com
Tracing route to www.naturalpoint.com
[66.182.52.188]
over a maximum of 30 hops:
1 <10 ms <10 ms <10 ms 66-182-52-188.atgi.net [66.182.52.188]
Trace complete.
C:\>tracert naturalpoint.com
Tracing route to naturalpoint.com
[66.182.52.164]
over a maximum of 30 hops:
1 <10 ms <10 ms <10 ms webserver.eyecontrol.com [66.182.52.164]
Trace complete.
Re: Is anyone home?
Same problem here. Can't access the home page, support page, nada. No problem getting the forums, though.
Was thinking of trying the updated drivers despite all the problems reported ... but no joy.
Here's all I get from a trace route:

1 * * * Request timed out.

Re: Is anyone home?
To complicated for me. I doubt my results would be any differant then MssrSchmidt's.
What bothers be is I haven't changed a thing on my end, so I can't see where my pc would be the problem.
Like HarryLee, I have been able to get access since November 8th or so.
Coincidence?
Meanwhile, I don't have a firewall set up, except for what ever my router provides. (It's a Linksys.)
Any changes that you know of, that I should make to it?

It could be misconfigured in some way, I suppose ... I did upgrade to a new computer at the beginning of the month. However, I believe the firewall is configured as it was before the upgrade, and I have absolutely no trouble reaching any other Web site.
(BTW, when I shut down Zone Alarm, I still get the 'timed out' thingy on a tracert and am still unable to access the pages in question. -- 'cannot find server.')
I have disabled XP's internal firewall, as well.
So what needs to be adjusted to allow access to the naturalpoint support page?
