TIR 1 jitters eliminated

Post by BPO6_PANP »

I found a cure for my jitters with TIR 1 and 2.11
I must say they were not that bad with 2.11 but were still noticable.
but any other version over this was unusable for me
After the patch for FB was installed I found I was having sound problems and in the process of fixing this problem I accidently fix the jitters
I was turning the sound acceleration sliders down 1 notch at a time and testing the game after each change
In the process of doing this I found that TIR was getting smoother as I was moving the slider down and doing each test

The smoothest and most fluid movement was at no acceleration, but my sound was droping out

1 notch up at basic acceleration was very good for TIR and sound for me

system spec
A7V333
amd 2800 xp barton
512 meg pc3200
windows 98 se
GF FX 5900 u 256 meg
sants crus sound card
dx9.0b

My ? is this
what is the correlation between TIR and sound acceleration
I checked IRQs and and sound and vid card are not sharing

I,ll test the newer version of TIR software and get back after testing

PANP; This got me curious, so I checked my System Info to be sure.....I am using TIR 1 with 3.02, but started with 2.11.

XP is assigning my Audigy 2 sound card to the same IRQ as my Intel USB 2.0 Enhanced COntroller.

I also have a X45 setup, though, which doesn't seem to be affected in any way. I have begun to have some serious jitter problems with 3.02, though ( in IL2FB since the 1.21 patch, but only occasionally ), and am thinking of going back to 2.11, so this point has me curious now. I did have some jitters with 2.11, but nothing as severe as those I have begun to have with 3.02.

I've had to unplug and move my computer... reconnected (prob stuck TR1 (2.11)... into wrong port but...

has any one noticed (when you're conected to the net... I play FB) that if you look at your internet connection box (the one under connect to the internet... and shows how long you have been connected for etc...) that recieve errors start to go up.

now I have done the basic testing... looks like TR causes these errors... which when you play online (FB for me) I feel like I'm flying with 1-5 frames per sec instead of my 35+

sure it may have something to do with the USB's but what I don't understand is why it would cause these receive errors.

just wondering if others with "jitters" are getting these errors too.
