Hi:
Whenevr I plug my unit into any of the USB ports on my PC, I get the message that this is a high speed USB devive and will work faster if plugged into the appropriate port, click here for available ports. THe wizard shows USB Hub POrt 10 is high speed, but as indicated, allthe USB Ports throw up the same messag.
My 2 questions are (i) am I loosing any TIR performance by not pluggibg into a Hi Speed Port, and (ii) (in case anyone knows) where the heck is this hub port 10, and why can't I find it (e.g. maybe haven't plugged the USB outlets into the appropriate socket on the mb etc.).
Many thanks
Hi Speed USB
Re: Hi Speed USB
1. No you will not see a performace difference.
2. That just means you have a ton of USB ports on your system more then likely and that is the port number you have the TIR connected to. Hopefully, you are not using a USB hub?

Re: Hi Speed USB
Many thanks Rick. I'm not using a hub. Really happy here with the upgrade from a TIR 3 Pro.
Re: Hi Speed USB
I get exactly the same message when i plug in the TiR4 but as Rick says ive not noticed any problem with tracking performance, think i read elsewhere on the forum that this is a mobo chipset issue, specificaly with Nforce 4 mobos i.e. Lanparty which is what i run.
But as stated doesnt seem to impare the performance at all track ir rocks btw
