TrackIR 4 not detected ("faint red light")
Re: TrackIR 4 not detected ("faint red light")
When it is determined a hardware issue, we will issue a RMA number. Once we have the package we then will send the replacement 3 day.

Re: TrackIR 4 not detected ("faint red light")
Concerning "my own" case:
I was away for quite a while. But I have received in the meantime another Track IR. The replacement by NP was actually very prompt (the transportation to/from NP in my case took some days as expected).
However, I now have done just the (recommended) installation procedure.
- To mention here, I only cleaned previous NP SW and I did not do any explicite OS restore or USB specific procedures: Install SW & plug-in Track IR (in self-powered USB hub), thats it.
I have "tested" the new Track IR device for several hours with warm/cold startups, with the Track IR SW and with "my" client Track IR SW, which are: Falcon 4.0 AF, Lock On FC and IL2 FB/AEP/PF. (- Surely some modif. on belonging Profiles I might consider/test still.)
Result:
The replaced Track IR is simply just working PERFECTLY. I can't determine any troubles no matter what I do (so far). I did not notice any issues whatsoever on this replaced Track IR.
Remark:
Without knowing exactly what HW issue it was or was caused on my first Track IR however, I am now gladly using the replaced Track IR.
So thank you NP for the support.
Hi Zero2121 (or MK),
I am certain if the HW issue can be determined as the same (- I guess the most simple approach afterall is to try it on other PCs) and NP confirms this, you will as well be provided with a replaced Track IR accordingly.
(If not happened already.)
Cheers

Hey Snoopy,
Thats great news indeed! I am currently waiting on my RMA # so I can get my replacement, but now can sleep well knowing that the new unit should fix my problem (which is exactly similar to yours). I appreciate that you came back to the forum to spread the news. Enjoy the Track IR.......I know in a couple of weeks i just might!

Hello All,
If your issue has not been addressed yet, please let us know.
We went through some rough spots recently with our technical support organization, but should now be back on top of things. Just want to make sure nothing slips through the cracks.
thanks
