Track IR 'Lag'

Post by wedgie »

I have a problem with my TrackIR 1 whereby if I use the 3.10 drivers, the response from the TIR becomes really delayed. It will take a second or 2 for it to register my head movement.

Has anyone else seen this? If so, what should I do?

Thanks

Wedgie,

Did this happen on the previous drivers that you were using?

Could you please try the previous drivers that you were using and let me know if the problem remains.

I have the same problem. 3.10 worked great for 2 days then the "lag" issue came up.
Went back to 2.12b and the unit works ok.

pauldun170,

Thank you for clarifying that for me. We will look at the later drivers with TrackIR1.

Have you found a cause for this problem yet? I've been having the same thing happen on my machine since 3.03. I mentioned it in this thread back in January:

http://forums.naturalpoint.com/cgi-bin/ ... 3;t=000340

Machine specs:

Micron Millennia
AMD Athlon 1Ghz
512 Mb RAM
GF ti4600
Audigy Gamer
400W PS

Thanks

If users are having any problems with the later version of drivers, just as a temporary measure revert back to the older drivers.

We are looking into this.

I'm also having the same problem. Worked fine a couple of days, now there is a two or three second delay, which makes it pretty much useless. Will try uninstalling & reinstalling old version of software.

Just an update... I installed the old (2.01) software, and it's working great, no lag.

Just to let you guys know - I have exactly the same problem but to fix it I just unplug my TrackIr and plug it in again - voila - no lag!
