Track IR Pro 4 slow to respond in FSX

Hi,

I just received Track IR 4 Pro head tracker w/Vector today. I downloaded the newest driver # 4.1.029.Final.exe. The software loaded correctly, I believe. Track IR works great in FS9, but with FSX when I turn my head it takes a minimum of 20 seconds for the view to change. In FS9 it�s instantaneously.

I�m not sure of what other info you would need from me to diagnose but will supply as necessary.

Any help would be appreciated.

same here, no problems with any other sims in the past, except FS X

Would be nice to be fixed.

Config:
Athlon 3000+, Radeon 9700pro, 1,5 Gig Ram, WinXP
Graphics settings to allow 15-20 frames in game

Hi Sven,

I�ve been over on the Avsim forum; quite a few nice fellows have given me many suggestions. I have tried them all to no avail.

FSX seems to run great, ok, pretty good on my system. This is the first real challenge. I guess I�m lucky that way.

I too hope they can find a cure, I�m sure they will.

We have near identical systems, at least yours works a little, mine is completely dead in FSX. Nothing! Let me know if you figure it out

Dave - are you getting the blue light enabling on the TrackIR, when FSX has a flight running?

Hello all,
let me go into detail what exactly happens to me.

- I start the trackIR software 4.1 build 29
- I start FS X, getting a blue light
- works fine in the first time ( 1min or so)
- then: no responding instantly but after a little time 10 to 30 sec. It seems that the movement data get into a buffer/delay because all the movements will execute but delayed 10 to 30 seconds. After executing all the delayed movements it can happen that the trackIR works fine after that for a little time. Then it happens again.

Well Dave,

Thanks to Vincent�s work I was able to determine that my problem was with my hard drive. If you can believe it my 21 month young drive was failing and not allowing chipset or BIOS updates as Vincent had recommended. I installed a new hard drive today and TrackIR is an unbelievable blast!

So, I�m not sure how to help you but I though I�d let you know what my problem was and maybe it can help you in some way.
