TrackIR4 not working in FSX anymore

Here's the status. I had an asus mobo with via chipset and an agp card and trackir worked in FSX with alpha3 and beta4 drivers.
I decided to change videocard and bought a mobo with nforce4 sli chipset. Apart from getting the usual speed warning usb balloon tip (which is not actually a problem) trackir no longer works in FSX. The system has a fresh windows install with no drivers leftovers whatsoever. TrackIR works perfectly in Falcon4 Allied force and GPL but in FSX nothing happens. When i alt-tab from the game i see in the main tab of the trackir program that the no game is detected in the current game line.
Any ideas what could be wrong?

First lets try a clean install of the TrackIR software.

Remove the TrackIR software by doing the following:
a. Click "Start"
b. Click on the "Control Panel"
c. Click "Add/Remove Programs"
d. Find "TrackIR" and click "Change/Remove"
e. Once launched it will give the option to completely remove it.
f. Delete the NaturalPoint folder at the following location, C:\Program Files\NaturalPoint
g. Download and reinstall the software from the following location, http://media.naturalpoint.com/software/ ... .Final.exe

Second, if that doesn't help, try reinstalling the Simconnect folder

1 � Delete the following file folder

C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\x86_Microsoft.FlightSimulator.SimConnect_67c7c14424d61b5b_10.0.60905.0_x-ww_429211e9

2 � Insert the FSX CD, and run the repair utility. Basically we are looking to reinstall the folder.

3 � Hopefully this should remedy the issue.

Thanks for the immediate reply.The problem was with the directory.It was empty. After deleting it and doing a repair at the game's instalation, it worked like a charm.
