TrackIR Hat

I was planning on buying Vector Expansion today for my TrackIR 3 Pro, however I am considering on whether I should buy a hat to go with it. I saw some posts on the hats causing a problem with Vectro Expansion. Is that the case? Is it still a problem? Does it improve TrackIR?

The old style TrackIR hats, had a reflector built into the brim of the hat, for 2DOF functionality.

When the Vector Expansion Track Clip was introduced, we eliminated the built in reflector, due to the TrackIR unit seeing 4 reflectors, when it only needs 3. (Track Hat 1, TrackClip 3)
