From time to time the blue light and/or the green light doesnt come on when starting a game, IL2 `46, CFS 3, OFF Ph2 or FSX. Still the device is responding but sometimes the LEDs go on when leaving the game, some times the blue LED lights up when restating the PC, then the green wont light, and goes black when starting a game not always functioning! At times the blue goes uot ingame but still working, it has never stopped working when only the blue has failed
Im using the 4.1.30 drivers.
To restore to working I only have to exit TIR and restart!
I have been wondering about faulty solderings as the device sometimes is very hot!
I bought it from you July 25 2005 so Iguess guarantees have expiered by now!?
My TIR3 pro VE is doing funny things!
Re: My TIR3 pro VE is doing funny things!
Remove the TrackIR software by doing the following:
a. Click "Start"
b. Click on the "Control Panel"
c. Click "Add/Remove Programs"
d. Find "TrackIR" and click "Change/Remove"
e. Once launched it will give the option to completely remove it.
f. Delete the NaturalPoint folder at the following location, C:\Program Files\NaturalPoint
g. Download and reinstall the software from the following location, http://media.naturalpoint.com/software/ ... .Final.exe
Have you tried the device on another system?
Are you plugging in directly to the system, or are you using a hub?
Have you tried isolating the device on the USB ports?
Have you tried turn off any kind of power save feature for your USB ports?
In the "Device Manager" you can right click the "USB Hub"(s), that show, and then select properties. On the power management tab, uncheck the box that allows the computer to turn off the USB port to save power (i.e. uncheck the box). Sometimes that has an impact on the connectivity of the devices.

Re: My TIR3 pro VE is doing funny things!
Ill try the last advice since Ive done the un/reinstall buisness a few times, I got some mailing support a while ago.
If this doesnt cure the issue then what?
Leave it be until it dies or `till I can upgrade to TIR 4?

Re: My TIR3 pro VE is doing funny things!
I think it is just a power, connection issue within the USB port itself.
