At least in my case. I was setting up a network which is using SimConnect for ASX, when suddenly TrackIR refused to give a blue light for FSX. I tried the usual stuff like deleting the SimConnect folders (which doesn't work with Vista Ultimate), repair, ect... I replaced different folders from a backup and there it was back, the blue light. I tracked the problem down to the SimConnect.xml file (which you need for the network) under application data\roaming\microsoft\FSX.
When i delete the file TrackIR works, when i restore it from the recycle bin it stops...
A work around for this problem would be highly appreciated, because i need both, the fantastic TrackIR and the network.
Any ideas ?
Thanks in advance and best regards

I just found out why TrackIR stopped working...
Re: I just found out why TrackIR stopped working...
Yes, there is a need for simconnect to have 2 ip address for connections as the TrackIR requires the local ip address of 127.0.0.1, and the connection requires the server ip address as well..
Re: I just found out why TrackIR stopped working..
Thanks for your reply, glad there is a solution.
Could you give me a hand how to assign the necessary IP address for SimConnect ?
That's hostile territory for me...

I've never had to do it personnally, so I'm not entirely sure where to start....
