can't get ability switches to work

Post by gw666 »

Hi, I have a SmartNav 3, I think, serial number 28651, and I can't get the ability switching to work. I have tried the exit-software/unplug/replug procedure described in your manual. I have also tried rebooting my Windows XP computer, to no avail. I'm using version 3.2, build 23 of the driver software. On the Clicking tab of this software, the Ability Switch drop-down menus are grayed out.

I'd appreciate any advice. FYI, I will append the contents of the installation log file. Thanks for your help.

Hello,

The serial # for that SmartNAV shows that it is a Macintosh unit and does not have the switch input enabled for the PC.

I would suggest contacting RJ Cooper to verify what model SmartNAV you have.

Best Regards
