Necessity is the mother of invention, I actually found a way around this problem.

Clean install of windows XP ex 64 edition

install the latest Smart nabs software from the web site.

The problem was in recognizing the device as plugged in through USB.

Install the latest tracker software with 64-bit compatible drivers.

Do not override any files.

Dual custom install and only install the USB drivers.

Play around with trying different USB ports to plug in your Smart nav device.

With the USB drivers installed it should recognize it eventually.

Seems to work perfectly within your software that I downloaded from your web site for Smart nav.

This should not be hard to implement in a gnu installer file for Smart nav, as the method described above is a little bit crude.

You guys have the modules you just need to string them together.

Thanks again for a wonderful product you've really helped my life.

And I'm looking forward to using it in the future with 64-bit Windows.

Best regards,

Hi Marcin,

Thank you for the post, we are currently working in implementing 64 bit drivers for the SmartNAV software.

Will post in this thread when they are available.

Thanks,
Kevin

Any further feedback on the Windows 64-bit support. It's recognizing the smart nav correctly, but I may be having some stability issues.

Thank you

Hello,

What version of the software are you currently running?

Build 28 of the SmartNAV software has full 64 bit support:
http://media.naturalpoint.com/software/ ... 20.028.exe

If you are running build 28 please be more specific about any stability issues you are still having.

Thanks,
Kevin

That's the version I'm running. Having stability issues, but not necessarily related to your software. Trying to figure that out now. Thanks for the reply.
