TrackIR support for BMW M3 Challenge?

Post by ReDi72 »

10Tacle/Blimey just released a free game called BMW M3 Challenge, which is based on the GTL engine. When I start it, the TrackIR blue light comes up, assumingly meaning that the driver recognizes the game. However, in-game TrackIR does not work. Does this mean that I need an update for my TrackIR software to support the game, or that Blimey has not implemented TrackIR support after all?

Seems like theres no support. Lets hope there will be an update for the game soon.
I tried to copy the track-ir lines from my gtr2 plr file but it didnt work.

any news on this?
is there something else besides that .plr part from GTL that we can use? rFactor has plugin folder with tir plugin file in it, but i cant find nothing similar in GTL or GTR2.
i need tir in this great new game, i'm going nuts without it.

I guess a workaround would be to enable mouse emulation for TrackIR and then activate Mouse Freelook (or whatever it's called) in the game?

Currently that looks like the only way to get TrackIR support within the app. We are emailing the developer, but it appears that they disabled part of the TrackIR code, which actually allowed the movement of the users view.

Bummer :( Why would they disable TrackIR code when it's already there?

But thanks for the effort you're putting into this, maybe you can work something out and get a patch for TrackIR support :)
