smartnav not working for mouse in BF2

When I go into Battlefield 2(BF2) and try to move the mouse to work the menus it does not move and it does not work in the 3D world part of the game either.

Might want to check you have mouse look enabled. Is the SmartNAV working under normal windows?

I would suggest installing the TrackIR software and using the mouse emulation app provided.

Turns out BF2 does not like smartnav in absolute mode. It works when smartnav is in relative mode. It also turns out I like the TrackIR Mouse emulation better as it is like your head is a joystick where the farther you move you head in a given direction the faster the cursor moves in that direction with all cursor movement stopping when you return your head to the center.
