Hi all.
I bought a generation one TrackIR back in the day, and enjoyed it, but lost it at some point. I'm looking at buying a gen 4, but have one question.
I remember that my TrackIR had full Windows mouse emulation capability. I think that I was able to install both the TrackIR and SmartNAV software together and it was a pretty nice package for Windows control.
Can you still control Windows OS and applications with the TrackIR? Can you still use the SmartNAV software if you want to, or does the TrackIR software have SmartNAV components now?
Thanks for your help.

Windows Functionality
Re: Windows Functionality
OK, I looked back through my old posts (from 2003!), and what really happened was I bought a SmartNAV at the time. With the SmartNAV, I could use both software sets, but the TrackIR hardware could only use its own software.
So I'm guessing the situation is still pretty much the same. I'm also guessing the SmartNAV does not support 6DOF. Is this true? Thanks.

Re: Windows Functionality
The SmartNAV can do 6DOF, using the TrackIR software, and also purchasing the vector expansion.........
