plugging in TrackIR, device can perform faster USB 2.0

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?
i have vista 32bit
motherboard has 2.0 and 1.1 USB Support enabled,
device manager list enhanced PCI to USB Host controller,
and the physical port works in USB HISPEED 2.0 with my Flash where as the same physical port dosent not see TrackIR has HISPEED 2.0 connected...
ALL I KNOW IS THAT THE DRIVERS ARE OK, MOTHERBOARD IS OK.

Re: plugging in TrackIR, device can perform faster USB 2.0
The issue is with the way the motherboard firmware reads the TrackIR device itself. It is a false error, and can be ignored. You can try resolving the issue, by updating the motherboard bios.
Re: plugging in TrackIR, device can perform faster USB 2.0
im sorry, did i mention that this is happening on both my computers and LAPTOP??
so please dont tell me that it is my computer...
once again, my flash drive would connect to the enhanced pci to usb controller in HISPEED to all my computers with no problem, but trackIR only connects on the universal host controller root hub..
cpu#1 using vista w/Nforce 570 sli chipset
cpu#2 using XPSP2 w/Nforce 4 sli chipset
laptop using XPSP2 with intel chipset
my Laserjet also connects in HISPEED with no problems!

Re: plugging in TrackIR, device can perform faster USB 2.0
Is the device (TrackIR) working otherwise?
Re: plugging in TrackIR, device can perform faster USB 2.0
in all computers, the trackir config utility picks up head tracking, i can see activity and images when u view gauges, heads, and tracking.
i tried the track IR unit with FSX, and movement is choppy.
its on a cpu running vista. AMD 5200+ X2, GeForce 8800GTS 512 OC, and FSX settings on medium
is trackIR a USB 2.0 device or not? anyways, i would like to get that USB notification issue solved, and i am NOT TALKING ABOUT turning notification off.
appreicate the timely response.

Re: plugging in TrackIR, device can perform faster USB 2.0
The device is USB 1.1
Re: plugging in TrackIR, device can perform faster USB 2.0
ok..if so, why does the Windows Notifcation bubble pops up for TrackIR as a USB 2.0 capable device?????
your Minimum System Requirements state:
For Software Version 4.0++ ::
Requires TrackIR 3 Series hardware or later
Windows 2000 / XP / Vista (32 & 64-bit)
USB 1.1 or 2.0 port

Re: plugging in TrackIR, device can perform faster USB 2.0
Because there is an issue with some chipsets, and the way they detect the TrackIR devioe. It is just a reporting issue....
Re: plugging in TrackIR, device can perform faster USB 2.0
ok..do you have a list of 'some' chipsets that have this reporting issue?
The device is USB 1.1
just to make sure that i am clear about what you are saying...
you are saying that Track IR is a USB 1.1 device and not a USB 2.0 capable device?
