TrackIR center positioning

Post by DEmonGHost »

I have noticed that the TrackIR become inaccurate in mouse emulation mode and need re-centering from time to time. Is this because the software is not receiving all of the input information from the camera?
If so, cant a function be implemented that ensures that head movement signals get through?
For example the ThrustMaster Couger has modifier that ensures every key-press get through even though it may slow your game a little. I ask this because I notice that when playing flanker, that the scrolling would jump sometimes, causing inaccuracies when returning back to center position or sometimes the cockpit would scroll fast in one direction and the slow in the other.
When that happens you know that you going to have hassle getting it back to center position.

Hello:

You are correct in your assumption about mouse emulation mode. To correct these centering problems we have made trackIR Enhanced Mode, which has absolute positioning. Several new games have this feature built in. I don't know if we are in touch with the Flanker crew about adding in support, but feel free to email halstead@naturalpoint.com about adding in support.
