TrackIR not working with F1 Challenge, only

Post by Sorrento »

Hello,
I just installed TrackIR 4 Pro and it is working great with IL2, even with the mouse emulation I can use it to look while flying in BF2. However the TrackIR software doesn't recognize F1 Challenge when I ran the game.

Blue led light doesn't even turn on. I am using Vista64 and the CD check doesn't recognize my original CD, so I had to replace the program with one that doesn't require the CD; maybe this might be the cause of the problem.

Not sure where might be the problem other than that since everything works perfect with other games.

Any help will be apreciated.

That could be the issue, if the program file has been edited too much. Are you runnig both applications as an admin?

No, just the TrackIR software... let me try F1 Challenge as admin and see what happens.

The software should activate the device as soon as the game starts, correct?

As soon as it detects the software, the autoload profile should activate.

Hmm, well it is working now... but why now and not before, I still don't know.

While checking if the exe program had the privilege level set at Run This Program as an Administrator... it was already, I tried it inmediately when it didn't work on Sunday. So I am still puzzled what went wrong and what is right now... ohh, I guess it's Vista having issues with Windows XP games.

Thanks for the quick help, will post again if the problem starts all over.
