Are you running any Anti-virus/Firewall software?
In the following folder location, C:\Program Files\NaturalPoint\TrackIR4\Profiles, what is the file size for each profile?
Are you plugging in directly to the system, or are you using a hub?
Remove the TrackIR software by doing the following:
a. Click "Start"
b. Click on the "Control Panel"
c. Click "Add/Remove Programs"
d. Find "TrackIR" and click "Change/Remove"
e. Once launched it will give the option to completely remove it.
f. Delete the NaturalPoint folder at the following location, C:\Program Files\NaturalPoint
g. Download and reinstall the software from the following location,
http://www.naturalpoint.com/trackir/06- ... nuals.html

Re: Black Shark: Unhandled Error appears
The problem is solved. In my case it's been usb headphones with mic. Seems, together TrackIR and phones requires too much power. It needs to plug each of this devices into independent USB line. I plug phones into another port (on external 2 USB port module) and everything works again.

Re: Black Shark: Unhandled Error appears
I've been having pretty much the same problem. I've uninstalled and reinstalled TrackIR about 8 times, and I've reinstalled Black Shark about 4 times.
During mission loading, TrackIR crashes and hangs with a window that says "Unhandled Error".
I am running Anti-Virus software, and I disabled it about 4 re-installations (of TrackIR) ago.
My Default and Flight profiles are 4kb, the Combat Flight and Racing profiles are 2kb.
I am installing 4.1.036.
I have plugged the TrackIR device into both a hub and directly into my computer.
I have a TrackClipPro, and I had the TrackIR plugged into it, but after reading this, I seperated them. No change.
Just prior to posting this message, after another re-install of TrackIR software, I got it to work for one mission where I used the reflective clip instead of the LED clip. Excitedly, I switched back to the LED clip, and now it's back to crashing.

During the reinstall, did you delete the NaturalPoint folder?
What version of Windows are you running?
Do you have the latest motherboard bios installed?
What are your system specifications?

After the first few reinstalls, I did start deleting the folder, yes.

Windows XP Professional with SP3

15" MacBook Pro (If you need specifics, I'd be happy to get them for you)

Re: Black Shark: Unhandled Error appears
I take it, you are running bootcamp?
Any other applications running in the background?
Any other USB devices plugged in, next to the TrackIR?

Yes sir, Boot Camp.
I do have a few other apps running, the only one that's a given is Opera. Other times I may have MSWord 2007 running as well as Opera.
Besides my TrackIR, my other USB devices include a Microsoft Mouse, an Apple Keyboard, my Saitek X52, and sometimes a Cruzer thumb drive.
