Hey all,
I'm running a TrackIR v4 (4.1.36) and it works well, except for one problem: Whenever the system is put in standby and woken up, it stops working. The TrackIR window says "no data", the LEDs are off (except that if I hit the enable hotkey, the top LED goes from black to red and then black again, so I can disable it but in the enabled state it's not doing anything anyway.)
It is a software problem, because I can just quit the TrackIR software and restart it and it will work fine, it's just like it doesn't re-initialize itself properly when waking up.
Is this a known issue and can something be done about it?
(This is on a Gigabyte EP45-UD3P/E6400 machine running XP64 SP2.)
Thanks,
/Patrik
Trackir inoperable after resuming from standby
Re: Trackir inoperable after resuming from standby
Are you plugging in directly to the system, or are you using a hub?
Have you tried turn off any kind of power save feature for your USB ports?
In the "Device Manager" you can right click the "USB Root Hub"(s), that show, and then select properties. On the power management tab, uncheck the box that allows the computer to turn off the USB port to save power (i.e. uncheck the box). Sometimes that has an impact on the connectivity of the devices.
