No tracking display?
Hi,
I'm running Windows 7 (full version, MSDN subs ) and trying to use the new version 5 software with my 4 pro hardware, but this is all I get in the software:
nVidia 186.18 on a GTX285 if that makes any difference.

Re: No tracking display?
What screen resolution are you running?
Have you tried updating the video card drivers?

1680x1050
I was using the 190.38 drivers but they were causing problems so I uninstalled and went back to 186.18 which seem more reliable.
Is the tracking display an OpenGL or DX display?

The TrackIR 5 software uses OpenGL
For testing, have you tried adjusting the screen resolution, on the desktop?

Re: No tracking display?
Hi, still with this problem. My display is running in its native resolution (1680x1050).
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times to no avail. Is there any sort of 'cleaner' for any drivers or registry entries that the software might leave behind?
I should mention that tracking is working fine, but without the curves and heads display I can't make any changes to my profiles.

Any options, within your graphic software for disabling OPenGL?

Re: No tracking display?
OK, so if I update my nvidia drivers (to any version) and then launch TiR5 without rebooting, it works.
I reboot, and it's back to a white box, no curves or tracking display.
Are there special OpenGL driver settings required for the trackir software?

Re: No tracking display?
***SOLVED***
It was the ASUS GamerOSD and SmartDoctor software, despite the fact they were both turned off in 'Advanced Settings'.
That explains the above - as after updating drivers but before rebooting the ASUS dll's hadn't had a chance to reload.
***EDIT - I've just installed the very latest version of GamerOSD (3.06.0913) and Smartdoctor (5.44) and it's working fine.
