Refresh Directx Input

Post by Crunch_ »

Sometimes my directx buttons stop working as the center, pause, precision functions. The TIR5 software must be restarted. Pain when you are in game. This happens with TIR4 software, but there is a 'Refresh directx Input' button. It seems that TIR5 has the same bug as 4, so why not have this button in the 5 software? Am i missing something?

Thanks

What OS are you using?

Any other applications, such as keyboard/joystick, running as well?

I am using WinXp Pro, Razer Tarantula keyboard with software, Logitech G5 Mouse with software and CH Joysticks with software. I use my CH Fighterstick USB directx buttons as the center, pause, precision functions.

The problem is repeatable. Start the TIR5 software, start a game. Exit the game, start a new game with the TIR5 software still open and the center, pause, precision functions no longer work. You must exit the new game and then restart the TIR5 software and game. Yes, you could just restart the TIR5 software before starting the new game, but often I don't remember to do this.

In TIR4 it was much easier to just alt-tab out of the new game and press the 'Refresh directx Input' button. Of course it would be even nicer if the TIR software simply refreshed the DX input itself when loading a new profile.

Thanks!

Oops!! Sorry, I should also mention that when I switch games with the TIR5 software still running, my CH joystick changes profiles and Windows removes a game device and creates a new one for the CH profile. I have this automated and forgot to mention it. This would be the cause exactly, but the refresh button was very convenient.
