Windows 7 64-bit
TrackIR 4 Pro
TrackIR 5 software
nVidia G-Force 8800 GTS 640 MB (182.50 drivers)
Getting some weird stuff in the TrackIR software when using a classic theme in Windows 7 (64-bit).
When using TrackIR 5 software (5.0.300 build 6225) the desktop shines through some parts of the main TrackIR window. See image. I can't see the tracking view when using a classic theme. There is no problem when using one of the Aero theme's.

Problem: TrackIR 4 and Windows 7 classic theme's
Re: Problem: TrackIR 4 and Windows 7 classic theme's
Looks like an issue with the way your video card drivers are trying to draw OPenGL with the "classic" theme.
Have you looked at updating your video card drivers? the latest nvidia driver version is 195.81

Re: Problem: TrackIR 4 and Windows 7 classic theme's
Updating to the latest video drivers is a no go. Anything else over 182.50 is in fact a no go.
Windows 7 has a big problem with various resolutions and refreshrates. On Windows XP (and on Win 98) i always worked with a res of 1152x864 @ 100Hz on a 19" IIyama CRT monitor. Since Windows 7 this refreshfrequency does not exist anymore because Win7 doesn't seem to use the monitors EDID file but uses a generic Windows EDID instead (although the monitor is recognised by Windows 7) which lacks a lot of the capable monitors res's and freq's. 1152x864 is still there but only at 60Hz (looks like Windows threats every monitor now as a LCD monitor).
After a long search on the internet and reading litteraly through 100's of post regarding this problem on various forums i found creating a custom res/freq was the solution. I also found that drivers over 182.50 do not allow the creation of custom resolutions in Windows 7 (personaly tested).
Now this problem has nothing to do with TrackIR because with new drivers and the generic Windows EDID without customs resolutions has the same problem. I even tried a fresh default Windows 7 installation with latest drivers (without the custom stuff) with no succes. SO i'm 100% sure it ain't the drivers.
Every classic theme creates the same problem, Areo's don't.
So i'm currently using an Areo theme (which i don't mind) but i justed wanted to know if there are other persons having this problem and got it cured.
