Re: Track Ir 5 Left green led blinks

I tried both, directly connected to the PC and via the hub. Now it's direct to the PC.

Yes, TIR software minimized, and it's version 5, not 4. Well, I also tried the 4, but I found no difference.

Power managment is already set not to disconnect peripherals to save power.

Can you tell me why (what you think of course) it blinks? I tried increasing the IT intensity to 15, dark room, low threshold, high threshold, but this problem appears randomly. Fact is that using space bar + mouse to view I have no stutters at all, even if I move it fast, while TIR sometimes (often actually) makes this joke. I think it is somehow related to that blinking. The right green light stays on all the time, the left blinks, that's weird.

One thing: I noticed that when I plug the TIR in, I get the message that it can run faster, like when you connect USB 2.0 peripherals to USB 1.1 ports. Fact is that I only have 2.0 ports, and this is the only device to cause me this fault. I tried every single port, I have 10 available, but all get the same message. I see from the properties, that its power absorption is 366 mA, when I have 500 mA per port, so more than enough.

Thanks

The green light flashing, is an indication that it is loosing track of the IR objects.

The question was, have you tried using the 4.1.037 software?

Could you please download and install the 4.1 software for testing.

The 2.0 error is caused by the motherboard firmware incorrectly reading the TrackIR device as a 2.0 only device.

Already tried v4, you can read about it at page one of this thread (my fifth/sixth post). No difference in stuttering, but the left light wasn't blinking, at least that. I understood it means that it is loosing track of the hatclip/proclip. I wonder why though. I tried increasing the IR brightness, decreasing the threshold, then increasing it, dark room, but it happens anyway. Which can be the best setting for a problem such as this?

Is there anything I can do for my MB's firmware? It's the latest, the one I have, so to support my actual CPU.

Thanks

Can you please send a screen shot of the Tracking screen, to support, as well as explaination of the issue.

Do you see the issue with other applications, or only with FSX?

Hi, sorry for the late response. I downloaded a software named "fps limiter", and TIR is working way better. I tried 4 or 5 flights so far, and it went smooth.
I have to keep the FPS to unlimited in FSX, or no matter what, even set at 99, I get 10 FPS. With this program's aid, I get the result I need, so I have it locked at 30 FPS (I hardly reach it in urban areas). It seems that this software prevents my system from overboosting when it has free resources, and I think this was the issue, like a sort of priority the system gave, TIR was always left behind from FSX, and there the stutters appeared.
I'll play with this again, but it seems solved now.

Thanks
