Greetings,
I am a University student and am part of a group that excites high school students about engineering. I am trying to create a device that allows students to see their veins via a high resolution infrared webcam. My questions are this:
1. Can the TrackIR 5 Pro device be accessed as a simple monochrome webcam? (straight video feed from camera)
2. Does the device have built-in controllable infrared lights?
Any help would be greatly welcomed.
Thank you,
Trevor

Unfortunately I have destroyed a few webcams in trying to make them infrared and the results are never that pleasing.
It could be desirable to use the TrackIR 5. Is it possible to get a video feed from the device?

The TrackIR is not designed to stream a gray scale image directly. (ie be used as a web cam)
