Hi all, worked fine under XP, but now I'm running Win7 64bit.
I have a trackIR 4 pro with track clip running a GTX480 GPU. The TIR 5 software opens and tracks. It is set to the default profile. I then run my game (Battle of Britain 2 WoV) and when I get into the cockpit, the mouse pointer shows up and I have to click the screen to interface with the game. When I do, I have no tracking. I think it's crashing at this time.
I quit to the desktop and there is no tab for TIR although it is running under task manager. Trying to launch the exe says "it's already running." To get back in, I have to kill it in task manager and restart it.
I'm forcing AA using the nvidia control panel for this game. I've done it in the past and TIR worked.
I tried to run it in compatibility mode. I have not run it as an admin yet.
Please help!
TIR 4 Pro crashes when I load my game
Re: TIR 4 Pro crashes when I load my game
What video card drivers are you using?
Do you see this issue, if you use the 4.1.037 TrackIR software?
OPenGL enabled in the video card driver software?

Re: TIR 4 Pro crashes when I load my game
I'm running nvidia's 197.41 drivers. The 175.75s that are out now should be identical but add support to a specific game. I will upgrade to that and try again.
I haven't tried the 4.1.037 software as I thought the 5 was the latest and greatest that included support for the 4 Pro. I'll also give that a shot.
I also loaded FSX and will try it on that game to see if it's a game related thing. I should know more tomorrow and will report back with my findings.
Thanks!

Re: TIR 4 Pro crashes when I load my game
Update:
I had some time to try some methods mentioned above.
Drivers are the same.
I tested TIR in FSX and it worked. It still failed in BOB.
I ran it as admin. Still failed.
I uninstalled v5 and installed v4.1.037 and it still failed.
I disabled any app overrides in the Nvidia control panel, still failed.
I'm heading over to the BOB forums to see if others are running into problems.
After playing with it more, I need to clarify. The program is not crashing, it's minimizing to the system tray. This may be normal for Win7, but I'm a n00b to the OS so I didn't know. I can go into the game, have it not work, then come out and restore from the systray and tracking still works.
So my title of "crashing" is not correct.
