TrackIR Camera not starting
Mostly after PC goes to sleep but not always.
Open software, no objects being tracked.
Not using Hub
If i close and reopen the software 1 or 2 times the camera kicks in.
Annoying
win7x64, latest drivers, USB power-down disabled

What version of the TrackIR software are you using?

I'm having this same problem. When I start the TrackIR software I have to quit out and restart it 3-5 times before the red LEDs light up and it starts working.
I'm on Windows Vista Ultimate and I'm using TrackIR software version 5.0.300 (Build 6225). I never used to have this problem with the old software, but I haven't used it for about 12 months, and only starting using it again in the last week after re-installing the OS and getting the latest TrackIR software.
It sounds like quite a few people are having the same problem. Is there a solution? Thanks.

Are you connected directly to the PC, or using a hub?
Is this a laptop/desktop system?
Have you tried turn off any kind of power save feature for your USB ports?
In the "Device Manager" you can right click the "USB Hub"(s) that show and turn off the power saving feature that turn those ports off when idle. Sometimes that has an impact on the connectivity of the devices.

Thanks for the reply.
I have a desktop system and the device is connected directly to it, not through a separate hub.
Power saving is turned off for all the USB hubs in device manager.

Do you have access to an external USB hub, with its own power supply, that you can try?
Do you have the latest motherboard bios, USB drivers installed?

Yes, I have a powered USB hub. I've been trying a different USB port on my PC and so far it has been OK. If I have problems I'll try the USB hub. Many thanks.

the behaviour after a complete reboot is that I have to start,end, restart te trackir software in order to get the leds up
when I put my system in standbye and trackir is functional or has been functional at that time: I can just start the program and all is ok
