Do i need the TrackClip PRO too?
I will be using it for racing sims and it seems most people use the TrackClip, does this mean that the kit that is supplied with base unit is not good enough and you have to buy an accessory to improve function?

Hi,
Used TrakIr V4 and now V5. I have used both the Trakclip Pro and the original hatclip with good results. I have used these on GTR2 and FSX (mostly FSX now) and I can honestly say that either approach works very well.
The original kit is supposed to be attached to a hat (baseball cap type) although I used to use mine by attaching it to a headset (just stretched it and tied on with cable ties).
What you will find is that once you get a TrakIR unit working it becomes one of these things that you just can't do without and this is probaly why individuals then go for the full TrakClip Pro (just like me) as it was designed for headset use and is also supposed to give slightly better performance.
Bottom line is either will work well.
