Track ir problems

Post by tjjeeper »

When I look behind me the view snaps back back to forward view. I get to my 9 or 3 o'clock in view and it snaps back to the forward. I've updated monitor and graphics card drivers as well as track ir drivers. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled track ir. It begins as soon as I run into red planes. Not trying to be funny. I really start to have problems as soon as enemy planes show up with my 6 view. While in transit the view is fine and everything works in other games.

Using a 4core 2.6 ghz, 6 gb of ram, win7, nvidia 9600 gt OC edition with 512 MB of ram on the card. I have an x65, saitek rudder pedals, ch 6 throttle quadrant, track ir, logitech 930 headset plugged in as I play but haven't had problems until their latest update. I'm also sitting in a mostly dim room and within 2 1/2 feet of the sensor over the monitor. I've also made sure the vector is in the center of the sensor view.

Hello -

It appears that another user has discovered the cause of this due to an update of Aces High. I have not had a chance to test this in our offices, but I will attempt to sometime this week and get back to you.

His findings are posted here:

Updated
When I look behind me the view goes back to forward. I have:
Reinstalled win7
Reinstalled AHII
Gotten an 850 MW power supply
Cleaned the lense of the track Ir and placed it within 24" and tried various distances.
Updated video card drivers and even rolled back video card drivers.
I have updated, uninstalled, reinstalled, and even rolled back track ir drivers.
I have unplugged and plugged in all of my stuff I use when playing from the usb ports

In transit everything is fine. When I see and get close to red planes and start menuevering the view goes from six oclock back to forward looking. Sounds wierd but that is what is happening hahahaha. I don't know what else to try. as far as using views from saving head positions i've never used them. I've looked behind me and moved my upper body to the left or right slightly to see around the seat back.

Have you run the latest update for Aces High II? HiTech released a fix for this on the 6th of March.
