MOTION CAPTURE CONFIGURATION

Post by Alessia8086 »

Hello!

I'm trying to set up the motion capture configuration, i wanted to use the esagonal one.
Following the tutorial i understand that cameras has to be in portrait position (we also notice that in this way the person is 90 degrees instead to be vertical) , but i'm quite concerned about this point because i see that in this position the actor has to stay always in the same place to be tracked because if he moves he is already out of the camera!
If in landscape position we can grab more area.
Please help me to understand how to proceede.

Thank you.

Hi Alessia

How many cameras and in what size space are you installing in?.. ideally, you want to install the cameras in about a 7mx7m diameter hexagon, this should give you about a 3x3m capture volume...

By what you are telling me, it sounds like you are in a much smaller space than that...

A 12 camera hexagonal installation would definately benifit from either 100% landscape orientation, or a mixed 8 landscape / 4 portrait mode to get minor benefits in volume height.
