X-Plane native support with IOS display
X-Plane native support with IOS display
X-Plane v9 has native support for TrackIR. However, if you select to render an IOS on a 2nd monitor, it disables the TrackIR device on the Out The Window view. Closing the IOS re-enables TrackIR. I am currently using the PilotView plugin to remedy the problem. Would someone at NaturalPoint contact X-Plane to diagnose.

Re: X-Plane native support with IOS display
Due to the way that the TrackIR and X-Plane communicate, there isn't too much that we would be able to do for diagnostics on this end. the issue is likely a conflict within the Pilotview plugin, have you reported it to them?
Re: X-Plane native support with IOS display
I need to clarify the issue. The PilotView plugin is the temporary fix. The problem is native to X-Plane without the plugin. So that means either X-Plane has a problem or TrackIR does. Who want's to toss the coin?

TrackIR only sends data on head position to the program, so if use of the program is triggering a loss of communication, it is likely within X-Plane. TrackIR has no way of knowing if a plugin is running or not.
