Full scale sim

I have the TrackIR 4 but since building a full size simulator in a Cessna fuselage with the front view being projected onto a large screen, I have found difficulty in where to place the main unit.
I have tried placing it on the cockpit dash facing the TrackClip but the angle isn't the same as suggested by the product website i.e on the monitor.I then experience display tracking problems.
Has anyone found a solution to full size sims that use an actual cockpit and how to overcome the best placement for the unit.

My general recommendation is to, if possible, place the unit behind you and invert the Pitch, Roll, X, and Z axes, then wear the clip backwards.
