Hi All,
Does this offer full 360 degree tracking, or very close? I am wondering if it would be good for use with an HMD, but if I can't rotate my head to look behind and have it tracked, it's use would be limited.
Thanks
Ray

Re: 360 degrees of rotation?
Hello -
Unfortunately, not out of the box. The use of the TrackIR camera is limited to a relatively narrow field of view compared to a full 360 range of motion because of the need to have line of sight to three pre-defined markers. Head tracking of this nature would require multiple cameras set up in a ring, or a custom marker orientation, likely both for best results.

Thank you for your reply. Does your software support multiple camera configurations?
Thanks

TrackIR is restricted to single-camera tracking, but our OptiTrack line offers a variety of multi-camera options:
