We haven't had much luck with GRAW yet, but are working on it. Yes, it should be possible to have support added as a patch, but so far we haven't gotten any confirmation that they are working on it.

Starshatter already has a form of TrackIR support, but doesn't work with our version 4 software. So we are actively discussing this with the developer and publisher to try to remedy asap. We will post in the forums as soon as there is new news.

another title I didn't find mentioned using the forum search:

Driver's Republic

This is the upcoming (sometime in 2007) Racing Simulation by the man who was responsible for the RBR physics: Eero Piitulainen. It looks very promising and I think this is a "must have TrackIR support" title.

Edit:
doh - nevermind - just found DR on the "TrackIR enhanced games" page -

Hello, great thread!

I would love to see Oblivion added to the list. The game is already quite immersive, but with the addition of TrackIR I think it would improve the immersion dramatically! Would love to be able to dungeon crawl while keeping an eye out for hidden bandits or while I'm running through the forests to be able to spot those pesky wolves chasing after me!

Great work guys!

I'm surprised nobody has mentions any RTS games. Does nobody think the view controls for 3D RTS games like COH couldn't benefit from 6DOF?

I'm gonna go ahead and request Black and White 2 for TrackIR support. I think even if Lionhead says no, they might consider it for a successor in the franchise. Peter Moleneux seems to really like innovation in gaming such as this and nothing says GOD like effortless control.

I would definitly contact them if you haven't already.

Cool, Catch22. Thanks for mentioning this.

We have talked about RTS here for a long time. But since "more immersion" isn't a primary goal (classically) for strategy gaming, it's been on the back burner. (we've argued that TrackIR might help with map scanning. and it'd be cool to see your currently controlled unit moving as you move. but neither of these ties directly into what people want from that style of game).

We have spoken with a few RTS developers (not Moleneux) but they haven't yet jumped at the opportunity. Yet. I'm hoping to get one specially supported RTS this year, just to see how that community reacts. We'll defnitely post more when it goes anywhere.

I'm currently reinstalling Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter and as I was browsing through the case I found a little add for the Z800 3DVisor. It mentions that GRAW supports head tracking with the visor and so I immediately came here to find out if TrackIR was also supported, but unfortunatly it doesn't look like it. I also couldn't find it on the list of potential games.

I would like to request that GRAW be put on the list as well as GRAW 2 which is going to be released soon. Thanks!

EDIT: I just noticed that Warren has posted some stuff about GRAW. I'll leave the post though as I don't see it on the list still. But I'm glad to know it has already been brought up.

Hi Razi,
I'd like to get in there, but when i mentioned this to our friends at Ubisoft last June, there wasn't much excitement (we were talking about flight sims at the time, and they were like "but that's not a flight sim.").

I'm still pursuing it as best i can, and will post here in the forums when there is more to report.

Silent Hunter 3

The game already has fully 3d interiors, that you just don't get to see unless you know the secret button code that allows freeroam. It'd be alot of fun to be able to lean forward an look over your navigator's shoulder.

Just a quick note on these 2 games.
- if i recall correctly, we did talk to the silent hunter developers a few years ago, and they didn't think TrackIR would benefit their game. But this was a while back -perhaps before they had fully 3D interiors?
It's always an uphill battle to go back to developers who've passed on support, but we'll put it on the list.

- Note that TrackIR found it's way into enemy engaged because of the devoted community creating patches for it long after it was abandoned by developers. I don't know that the official developers of the sequel even know we exist (!), and so far I haven't found good leads on who the new developers are (separate from the publisher). If anyone spots who is actually developing this sequel, please let us know.
