Does the TrackIR software work when not running FSX?

When you have TrackIR and FSX running, does the right light on your TrackIR camera turn green?

I still get head movement in the software, but the right green light is not working. My biggest problem in the overhead panel and the radio stack (Pedastal).

What version of Windows?

If you are using Vista or 7, try launching both TrackIR and FSX by right clicking on the icon and selecting "run as administrator" instead of just double clicking the icons.

Thanks, following your input made it work a little bit better, but i am still having issues with the pedastal. is using TrackIR on a laptop ok, because I believe i tend to sit higher than eye level. Sorry if i sound clueless.

If you double the speed in basic settings, does it make it easier to try to go for the pedestal?
