I am having a problem with the F7 button. I have also been hearing that the F12 does not work either. I have tried to open both the Flight Simulator X and TrackIR v5 software with admin but that has not solved the issue. I do not want to have to assign a new hotkey through FSX's options because any other pre-programmed scripts might interfere down the road. I am still learning the already existing hotkeys as it is.
Is there any link or patch created for this issue yet? If there is could someone give me a link to it or point me in the correct direction please? Thanks in advance.

This is generally a permission issue. Try starting both FSX and TrackIR software by right clicking on the icon and selecting "run as administrator" instead of just double clicking on them.
