TrackIR 5.1.3 Software Forgets Settings on Boot

Hello,

Recently, I have been having an issue where on a fresh install of Windows 7 Pro 64-bit, the TrackIR 5.1.3 software will not maintain any of the profile, startup, or other settings. For instance, if I set the primary profile to be "MavericK" (my personal one), make it exclusive, and then set the program to minimize to try, start with Windows, etc...upon rebooting it will forget all of these settings and I have to set it up again every single time. My profile doesn't disappear, but I do have to re-select it. I have tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling the software. I also did not have this problem before I reformatted my machine (was running Win 7 Pro x64 before as well). Any advice? It's extremely annoying to see the default program pop up every boot cycle.

This is generally due to permissions issues within windows that arise during installation of TrackIR. Let's try some installation troubleshooting:

Unplug your camera, and uninstall the TrackIR software.
Download a new copy of the latest version of the TrackIR software, and save it to your desktop (note: do not run from the downloader).
Right click on the installer, and select "Run as administrator" (even if your account is an administrator) Finish the installation as normal, plug in your camera, and verify that drivers are properly installed via the device manager.
Run the software, and see if it works properly.

Thanks for the reply. I think that worked! Seems to hold the settings now. I guess installing "as administrator" made the difference. Odd that I didn't need to do that before, but oh well.
