Non-tech question: when was the TrackIR first marketed?

Post by KaelNL »

Hi,

I want to add the great TrackIR (I own the TIR5 with pro clip) as hardware in videogamegeek.com , a relatively young video game site.
However, to do this, I have to enter a date (dd-mm-yy, or mm-yy, or even year only) of release. So when became the different TrackIRs available? And what'd their defining difference?

So:
TrackIR5, released: ?, 6DOF
TrackIR4, released: ?, 4DOF (?)
TrackIR3, etc...

Hope this'll also enhance TrackIR's publicity, and attract new users for this great peripheral.

TrackIR 6 - 20??

I'm on the verge of ordering TrackIR 5, but wouldn't want to see a new product announcement right after ordering.

Any hints on whether there's a new product offering in the pipe?

Excellent, I just got a great deal on TrackIR 5 from pcaviator.com.

After years of using TrackIR 2 and TrackIR 4, I'm looking forward to being impressed yet again!
