Missing Grid Room @ Start Up

Greetings All,
After d/l the latest version of Trackir, when starting up Trackir, the grid room (a large dark room with white lines going vertical and horizontal) does not come on. It used to before but not now. So I uninstalled the Trackir program and reinstalled it. But the problem still persist. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Best Regards, Sora

There are three icons at the top right, just under the minimize/maximize/close buttons, that will change what panels are displayed. Try the middle one and it should show both the settings and the HUD view.

Thanks for the info Jeff but unfortunately when I double click on the desk top icon, the Trackir turns on but without the grid room showing. So what I did was a super clean install (deleting every file related with this program) and install it again. So far so good, I guess it must have been my updating method (I think) in installing the updates. In any case I will keep you informed about this. I found it! Thanks for opening my eyes Jeff, because I could not see it, it was minimized at the upper left corner. It was hard to see it over lapping my other icons. So the mystery is solved, I just love happy endings, thanks again Jeff. Best Regards, Sora

Hi Track helpers. I too have problems with grid window. when i start up, the grid window shows whatever was on the screen when ir started,so i get my desktop picture or such. I have toyed with all the buttons i could find, did a reinstall, different display settings, went into the XML and changed the NoGLNoGL on and off, but no joy.NO idea what to do.Any help would ber MUCH appreciated, as I have waited years to have trakir , and it is not cheap. I would expect it to work a bit better for my money paid. thanks and look fortward to hearing from you.

What type of video card do you have and what version of it's drivers are you using?

g'day Jeff,I recently have been using my onboard intel graphics chip as my ATI card went phfft, but before the auto update and before the USB drivers 64 (which i didn't have before i think, it had been OK,I was using it a few days ago.I am running 64 windows7.What I did find was that it worked in IL2 1946, I couldn't get it going in FSX though.(an FSX CFG problem?)
um I meant though I coul NOT get anywire screen or curves to chow, in IL2 I did have traking movements.Should I use older drivers/Trak5 software ? and where can I find the DLd's for the older software , probably TrackIR_5.2.1.Final or a little earlier ?, thanks for your reply to, great site here.and LOVE trackir took me YEARS to be able to get this. THANKS !

It makes it very hard to adjust properly and set up. LOL

First I would change the line in settings.xml to look like:

0

Second I would update your video card drivers, you will have to download those from your motherboard manufacturer or Intel.

TrackIR 5.2.1 is the latest version of the TrackIR software and I would recommend using that.
