TrackClip Pro arm connection

Post by Adrian858 »

Hi there,

I've been reading a few posts here on the forums concerning others that have had the same issue that I just had, and that is one of the two plastic pieces connected to the arm with the 3 LEDs breaking. I'm not even sure what caused it, aside from I turned my head recently, and it came right off... :(

As a temporary fix I tried super gluing it together, with no such luck, and it just ended up frustrating me.

This is a picture I found on google that is the exact same damage that my TrackClip Pro has suffered from.

I greatly love and use this product on a regular basis, but since I tried to fix it, and it unfortunately hadn't worked, is there still anything that can be done to assist me in this matter?

Thanks,
-Adrian

The same happened to me this evening. I was adjusting the LED's and bang, the arm went of and looks like the one on the posted picture above.

So my Falcon evening is ruined by now ;)

I too have suffered a break at the same point except the tabs have not separated in the same fashion. All I did was move my arm across my desk to turn on a light and bump the trackclip :(

I really like the product but there are fragility issues with the Trackclip Pro. Its only been two months :(

You can easily fix it (or prevent it).
This is how i did it :
1. looked for the right position + i glued it +
2. i fastened it with a small plastic strap...stronger then ever...for years now...

Great idea on the glue/strap repair. Think I'll try it, but worried what it'll due to my warranty repair I've requested.

Should I repair my broken clip now, or get the replacement and then use the tie down strap to reinforce it before it breaks again???
