CH Yoke and Throttle Quadrant Hot Key Assignments

Post by SirTommy »

When assigning pause and center hotkeys to buttons 9 and 10 on my CH Yoke, Trackir 5 also assigns the hotkeys to buttons 9 and 10 on the CH Throttle Quadrant. Can Trackir not discern that these are two different controllers, or is there a trick I am missing?

Thanks.

Hello SirTommy,

I've seen this issue a couple of times. What I did to combat it was assign "Center" a button combination within the TrackIR software. Something like CTRL+F12, and then in the software for the yoke and throttle quadrant I assign that combination to the button I would like to have center the TrackIR. It eliminates the confusion between the two devices. So far it has worked well for me and took very little time to implement.

Basically in TrackIR "Center" = CTRL+F12, and button 9 on the Yoke = CTRL+F12. So when you push button 9, it will center the TrackIR but won't have the conflict with button 9 on the Throttle Quadrant.

Thanks, that's a good workaround. I'm also noticing a lot of folks using "pause" on the middle mouse button, which seems handy. I also have extra buttons on my mouse for "center" and "precision" so I may forget using the yoke buttons all together.
