Track IR Camera Not Detected
Track IR Camera Not Detected
Hey, I previously had no issues with this, but went to start it up today, and the camera wouldn't turn on - no lights. Tried re-plugging it in, and I get a message saying that "This device is not recognized by windows".
I tried reinstalling the software, using different USB ports, and nothing h as changed.
Any ideas?

braekyn,
Are you able to go into the device manager and use the Update Driver Software option to point the device to the correct drivers?

Where are the drivers located? They aren't in the install folder.MikeWitham wrote:braekyn,

braekyn,
The folder that the drivers should be in by default is:
C:\Program Files (x86)\NaturalPoint\TrackIR5\USB Drivers x64\npusbio_x64.
If it is not there, you may want to remove and re-install the TrackIR software.

Yeah, I posted yesterday that I'd reinstalled and found them. It's still "Waiting for moderator approval". Anyways, windows refuses to actually install the drivers - it tells me they are up to date, even though in the device manager it says "No drivers found".MikeWitham wrote:braekyn,

braekyn,
Do you have the ability to test this on a second PC to eliminate hardware problems?

braekyn,
It sounds like the hardware has failed. It is working enough to power the device, but not transmit any data to or from the PC. I believe that the device needs to be replaced.

braekyn,
Please create a ticket with me at help.naturalpoint.com. I would like to know more about the issue, as well as see what I can do to help. I am very concerned with the potential issues that you are seeing, even more so when you consider the age.
