Track IR Stopped Working

Hello, I recently purchased the Track IR 5 a few weeks ago and it has worked great. I have mostly been using it in Elite Dangerous, and had no issues with it. Suddenly however it has stopped working in the game. The left green Light is on, and it tracks my movements flawlessly in the Track IR Program, but if I have the game open it does not track me anymore, and the right light does not turn on. I have changed 0 settings so I am not sure why it has done this. I know several people I play the game with also use Track IR and have had no issues, so it is not an issue with the game. I am sure it is a simple solution I have not found yet, and I am hoping it is not a defect with my Track IR as it still tracks me in the program. Does anyone have any ideas why the second light does not come on anymore? Thank you.

Is TrackIR installed on your C: drive? I know that with the 1.4 release, it wouldn't recognize TrackIR if it was installed anywhere else. If that isn't the case, let me know and we'll find the right solution. I can't play Elite: Dangerous without it, and wouldn't ask that you do either.

That fixed it, thank you. I had it installed on my F drive once I got it on my C drive it worked like a charm. Thanks for the quick response, and I just saw an older post asking the exact same thing so I'm sorry I didn't do my due diligence and read the old posts

I'm new hi everyone,
My trackir has stopped working today with fsx!
I uninstalled it and reinstalled with the latest version it's all plugged in OK and working within the menus when I start it up Ie settings where you can see the movement when you move your head, the green light on the left is lit up and sometimes the right but when I start fsx in the cockpit nothing happens?!, do I have to do something within fsx to add it or something? I've tried everything!

Which version of FSX are you running? Have you made sure that the correct SimConnect version is installed?

I would suggest running your FSX disc, and then selecting the repair option. It would fill in any altered or missing software.

Hi mike I've done that and now my fsx won't start up says fatal error has accused and has to shut down??!! Even after a reboot! It's taken me months to put all this on with all the ad ones too
