Panning causes stutters below 120fps

I am running dcs on a gtx 980ti w/ a 1440 gsync monitor, when it dips below 120 trackir stutters. The sim with vsync off runs between 90-200 fps, with it enabled it stays at 120 and dips to 90, but never below that. I have tried running the monitor at 60hz and capping frames to 60 but the blur is so bad it's distracting, setting it at 90 the panning is a stutter fest. I have tried many combinations but anything below 120 looks bad, any suggestions? Maybe I'm too spoiled at 120.
